
Dr. David Rainero was born in Oakland, California and graduated from Bishop O'Dowd High School. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Physiology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1976, he attended Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated in 1979. He then completed a five year surgical residency at Washington University/Barnes Hospital Medical Center in St. Louis. He has been in private practice in Walnut Creek since 1984.
Dr. Rainero is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Since 1987, he has been elected to multiple terms as chairman of the Department of Oral Surgery & Dentistry at John Muir Medical Center. In addition, he participates in the trauma service at the Medical Center. He is an active member of local, state, and national dental and oral surgery societies. He and his wife, Anne, have four daughters.
